Elbow and forearm pain are common conditions that can occur for a variety of reasons. Whether you are an athlete, work with your hands, or have a physically demanding job, pain in these areas can be both annoying and disabling for your daily life.
What causes elbow and forearm pain?
Elbow and forearm pain can have many different causes. One of the most common diagnoses is "tennis elbow" (lateral epicondylitis), which causes pain on the outside of the elbow, often caused by repetitive movements that overuse the tendons in the forearm.
"Golfer's elbow" (medial epicondylitis) is another common condition that causes pain on the inside of the elbow, often related to activities that involve gripping and twisting.

In addition, overuse, improper strain, poor ergonomics in the workplace, or conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome can affect the forearm. Prolonged strain on the wrist and forearm, such as when using a mouse or keyboard, can also cause discomfort.
